Casalina Hung

Casalina Hung is the inspirational artist behind Perfectly Imperfect Paintings, a fine art and commissioned portraiture business she launched in Hong Kong three years ago. Having honed her skills at the Hong Kong School of Art, she has since spent many years as a visual-creative professional in the local fashion sector.

Although painting and photography have been lifelong interests, it wasn’t until 2019 that she went professional with her passions. This has seen her develop a highly appreciative audience for her works, which typically favour landscapes, as well as abstract and evocative seascapes with strong use of mono tones.

Setting her apart from many of her contemporaries, her work is led by her distinctive palette preferences rather than her choice of subject matter. Boldly contemporary, her finished pieces are characterised by judicious and expressive palette knife strokes and the dexterous application of heavy, textured paint motifs.

With her spontaneous creations frequently veering towards the darkly profound, this is an attribute equally evidenced in her growing number of commissioned works and privately-arranged portraits.
