This watercolour artwork shows a scene in the Kowloon district of Jordan, specifically the entrance gate to ‘Temple Street’ which is known for its bustling street market. I worked from my own photo that I took earlier in the day before the stalls were set up & during a lull in the traffic so that I could get a full view of the gate framing the striking perspective view of the street beyond. For this piece I switched to my ‘slow & steady’ style as I wanted to capture the richness of details that make up the wonderful urban tapestry of a Hong Kong street scene
